The International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) is a system for completing a criminal records checks for people wanting to work overseas. Organisations may require you to provide ICPC to work or volunteer with them.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) and ACRO developed the ICPC for people seeking employment, volunteering or completing charity work overseas, to help protect children and vulnerable adults.
This is not an alternative to The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (England and Wales), AccessNI (Northern Ireland) or, Disclosure Scotland (Scotland).
Before submitting an ICPC application, you should contact your employer to check whether they'll require you to provide a certificate. The ICPC confirms whether you have a criminal history and provides details including relevant conviction and non-conviction data.
